Privacy Policy
Resonance · Last updated: 11 June 2026
Resonance is a breathing and heart-rate-variability (HRV) practice app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: everything stays on your device.
Information the app handles
When you use Resonance, the app may process and store on your device:
- Heart-rate and HRV data — if you connect a compatible Bluetooth heart-rate monitor (such as a Polar H10), the app reads your heart rate, heart-rate variability (RMSSD), and beat-to-beat (RR) intervals during sessions.
- Practice history — session dates, durations, the breathing pattern used, and the averaged heart-rate/HRV results from each session and resonance analysis.
- Your preferences — settings such as your saved personal breathing pattern and whether haptic feedback is on.
Where it is stored
All of the above is saved only in the app's private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to a server, not backed up to a cloud service by the app, and not accessible to the developer or anyone else.
Bluetooth
The app uses Bluetooth solely to connect to a heart-rate monitor you choose to pair. Bluetooth and, on some Android versions, location permissions are requested only to discover and connect to that device. The app does not use Bluetooth or location for tracking, advertising, or any other purpose.
Data sharing
Resonance does not sell, share, or transmit your data. There are no third parties involved because no data leaves your device.
Deleting your data
You are in full control. Within the app you can clear your practice history, reset your saved personal pattern, or erase all stored data at any time from the Settings screen. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.
Children
Resonance is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app collects no personal data and stores everything locally, no personal information about any user — child or adult — is gathered by the developer.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change in a future version (for example, if an optional cloud-backup feature is ever added), this policy will be updated and the date above revised. Any new data collection would be clearly described and, where appropriate, made optional.
